Vaccinations:
All of our vaccinations are labeled for 3 years in adults who have had them previously, except for Bordetella, Felv, and FIV which are only good for one year.  We do not believe in over vaccinating your pets.

We now have the Rattlesnake vaccine.  It is similar to having anti-venom on board for your dog. Visit their website to learn more about it or call us to have your dog vaccinated!

We provide most of our lab services in house.  These include the following:
  • Blood work (CBC and full panel work up)
  • Urinalysis
  • ERD (Early Renal Damage) Dectection test
  • Thyroid levels (T4)
  • Fecal smears, wet mounts, and flotations
  • Bile Acids
  • Ear cytologies
  • Skin scrappings
  • Blood smears
  • Glucose levels
  • Heartworm, Ehrlichia, and Lymes test

Dentistry

It is very important to know that all pets need to be under anesthesia while under going dentistry.  There is bacteria in their mouths that causes tartar and we do not want pets to ingest or inhale this bacteria.  It is also very important that your pet receives IV fluids through out the procedure to help flush the pet’s system of bacteria and anesthesia. All of our dentals include the following:

  • Sterilized instruments
  • Anti bacterial spray
  • Scaling of teeth to remove tartar
  • All teeth or probed and checked for mobility, fractures and pockets
  • Polishing of teeth to remove any lines in teeth
  • Fluoride treatment
  • Oravet sealant treatment that blocks tartar buildup for two weeks

When needed other options are available such as:

  • Consil – used when a tooth is extracted to act as a bone graft so teeth left around empty pocket will not collapse
  • Doxirobe – used when a tooth has a large pocket but does not need to be extracted.  This will help save the tooth.
  • Oravet homecare kit- Sealant that an owner can easily apply to their dog or cat’s teeth once a week to help with dental care at home.

Surgery
